Guided tour of the artworks “Listening with Songs of the Trees” by Eric Leonardson and “Sounding Earth” by Bidisha Das created in collaboration with Waldkunstpfad and the Global Composition 2026.
Since 2002, the Verein für Internationale Waldkunst e.V. has been organizing the International Forest Art Path (Waldkunstpfad) in Darmstadt every two years, each under a different theme. It extends in the Darmstadt Forest District for 3.3 km from the Böllenfalltor to Ludwigshöhe, past Goethefelsen, Goetheteich and Ludwigshöhturm.
The path through the forest can be considered a forest adventure trail, thus promoting the character of the path finding and exploration by the visitor. With the means of art, the forest is brought to the awareness of the visitors in a new way.
It is located at the intersection of the Hergottsbrunnenweg with the Alte Bogenschneise in the forest district Böllenfalltor, i.e. about 150 m east of the forest parking lot at the police headquarters, Klappacher Straße 145, Darmstadt or 400 m southwest of the Böllenfalltor, Nieder-Ramstädter Straße 251, Darmstadt.
